Good sportsmanship is one of the 6 philosophies of AYSO.
After every game, the Referee(s) rate both teams on aspects of good sportsmanship in three categories:
Player,
Parents/Spectators, and
Coach behavior.

Sportsmanship points are accumulated throughout the season, and teams in the 6U, 8U, and 10U age groups with the highest sportsmanship totals at the end of the season will receive a sportsmanship award at the end of the season.
