AYSO is a volunteer-run organization. Everyone that does anything for our programs is a volunteer. From the person that marks the fields. To the people who sets up your games schedules. To the people who organizes events like our opening day festivities, volunteer nite, etc. To the people who orders your uniforms. To the people who builds your teams. To the people who coordinates your snack schedules. To the people who organizes tournaments. To the people who referee your games. To the people who coaches your children. Everyone in our Region, our Area, and our Section, who gives their time and their talents to ensure that your child has a great AYSO experience, is a volunteer!

Being a volunteer-run organization gives you an opportunity to make a difference in your child's life. Get involved! Make this program the best program they've been a part of.

Being a volunteer-run organization allows us to keep costs low. Yes, AYSO is a business. We are able to keep the program affordable by making use of volunteer resources to coach, referee, maintain our fields, etc. The product that we produce and the profits that we reap are the happy, healthy kids playing a sport they can enjoy for the rest of their lives.

AYSO understands that an all-volunteer organization is going to have parents with little to no experience with soccer or running a soccer program. Because of that, AYSO has developed an extensive training program for all of our volunteers. These training programs allow parents to quickly gain the necessary skills to be an effective coach or referee. We also offer unique administrative and management training so that everyone can learn how to run the organization properly.

And all of this training is FREE to our volunteers! An investment of a few hours of your time is all that's needed to get started.
