Player Registration — Registration Fee Refund Policy
Definition: "First Day of the Season" is the first day on which a coach is authorized by the Region Board or its delegate (i.e. Age Group Commissioner) to hold a practice for the upcoming season. For example, the First Day of the Season for the Fall Season is usually August 1.
Any player who withdraws prior to the First Day of the Season (i.e. written withdrawal notice is postmarked prior to the First Day of the Season) shall be entitled to a refund of fees with the following restrictions:
A processing fee of $5.00 will be deducted from the refund.
The AYSO National, Section, and Area fees will be deducted from the refund.
If a uniform was ordered for a withdrawing player and the uniform cannot be re-used, the cost of the uniform will be deducted from the refund. For example, if a uniform is ordered for an unusually sized player (e.g. an Adult Extra Large for a U-6 player) that uniform may not be usable by any other player in that division and hence the cost of the uniform will be deducted from the refund. Or if a uniform is provided to the withdrawing player and it is not returned in substantially new condition, the cost of the uniform will be deducted from the refund.
If the Region incurred other non-recoverable costs for the withdrawing player, those costs will be deducted from the refund.
Players withdrawing on or after the First Day of the Season are not entitled to a refund of fees.
Players requesting a refund must submit a Registration Fee Refund Request Form and a self-addressed, stamped #10 envelope with their notice of withdrawal. If no form is submitted, the Region will assume that no refund is being requested and none will be made.
All refund requests will be processed at the end of the year after all cost issues have been resolved.
